The Lord Raglan

Created by Andrew one year ago

I first met Karl at the Lord Raglan pub in Norwich specifically when a mini bus was arranged to take a group of us to attend a restaurant in Castle Acre.

karl didnt know many of us and seemd quite shy but he soon came out of his shell and became the life and soul of any gathering.

We soon became very close friends and the fabulous memories started to be made of which there are far too many to mention here. Karl was a special man who had a natural ability to make me laugh and he helped me theough my own difficult times.

I recall him spending hours and hours with me helping me learn my lines when I played the lead role in Carousel - Billy Bigalow which Karl jokingly changed to Billy Bigbelow!

That will live with me forever.  We spent so much time together as great friends and whilst I had all but lost contact with Karl for a while, I was reminded of him so frequently.

A more recent memory flooded back when I watched Pretty Woman with my Granddaughter. Karl LOVED that film and in particular the soundtrack and specifically the beautiful ‘It must have been Love’ by Roxette.

Every memory of Karl fills my head when I hear the song; Thank you Karl for taking up space in my heart. You were such a fun and a loyal friend and no doubt, an amazing partner for the wonderful and joyful Martin.

May you rest in peace and may the memories of you live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who ever had the joy of knowing or being related to you.

You take your place as a deserved star in heaven.

Love and hugs my friend. xx
